Contact Diane Huck at the parish office (223-5562) at least three months before the birth of your child to begin the preparations for the Sacrament of Baptism. Please contact her before you make any decisions on godparents, official dates or travel plans of guests to ensure you have all the information that you will need to make your decision. Please see the documents listed below.

Attendance at Baptism and Beyond: A Parent Gathering
This two-hour event gives parents an opportunity to learn about the history of Christian Baptism as well as practical information about passing on the Catholic faith once the child is Baptized. Godparents are encouraged to attend. Participation in one of these monthly events is to be completed before the date of the Baptism.

A home visit about two weeks before the Baptism
The home visit takes 1-1½ hours and gives parents knowledge of the actual Rite of Baptism. It covers the use of symbols in the ceremony and practical details of the Baptismal Celebration.
The most appropriate place for the Sacrament of Baptism to take place is within the weekend liturgy when the parish family is gathered to welcome new members into the faith family. It is important that the parish is present for this sacred celebration!
Baptisms may be scheduled for the 2nd or 4th weekends of the month, excluding Advent and Lent, and at any of the four weekend liturgies.
