School Information
Dress Code
Several years ago St. Mary's Grade School adopted a uniform dress code policy. Research has consistently shown that uniform dress in school can help students stay more focused and disciplined throughout the school day. In addition, children feel less social pressure when everyone dresses the same way, and students who cannot be fashionable due to limited family finances are made to feel more comfortable among their peers. Other research has shown that school climate is improved because kids have a greater sense of fitting in, and others have pointed out that there is an absence of distractions caused by revealing or provocative clothing sometimes associated with public schools.
Accordingly, the general Rules for all Dress are as follows--
